cards, and ebook thoughts

scribble_dee_deeOk, so requested several bingo cards last night before bed, and hoping to hear something back soon. Thinking that being given a specific challenge, and knowing that they don't have to be giant novel length fanfics will help kick me into gear.
I've also been kicking around a couple ideas for some erotic ebooks over the past couple months. and there's a part of me that really wants to do that because I've seen a bit of what's out there and for the most part I'm really not impressed. Like really not impressed. to the point that it makes me kinda sad. It's either too short fantasy/sci-fi epics that have enough plot lines, elements, and characters in it that it could easily be spread out into several books if not several different series, but it's all eagerly, and poorly crammed into one short novella. You really don't need to have five different and unique species, and a endless list of super powers, and talents, and gifts, and a slew of main characters, if you're writing only one short novella. it's too much, and not fleshed out enough and it's disappointing to the reader.
And then there's the more modern life, "Sally has a Gangbang" type ebook erotic short stories that are painfully disappointing. and those don't have to be either! I've read plenty of short stories that were hot and steamy and to the point that were awesome! Some of my favorite erotic reads were the Black Lace short story collections. But the ones I'm finding now are a lot of self-published poorly written, sped through garbage that uses a lot of gross slang, and bad grammer. It's literaly like:
Tawny couldn't believe this was happening! One minute she was on a free Bahama cruise and now She was suddenly surrounded by five hard dripping hot studs, with big drooly pork sausage cocks to match!
"Oh fuck my little cunny you bad boys!" She squealed as the first guy torpedoed his rock hard twat-banger into her dripping wet snatch!!!
"Aw hell ya!" yelled the guys behind them! Giving high fives, and hoots! they couldn't believe they were watching there best bro bang this hot chick!
I'm not fucking exaggerating. It really fucking reads like that! and has spelling errors like that! With excessive use of exclamation points like that, and is stupid like that! and it makes me so mad! just because it's a short pwp doesn't mean it has to be crap! it doesn't need to read like the lies a young teenage guy tells his teenage buds! It's like this horrible correlation that if it's deemed a 'trashy' story it has to been written like trash. ::fumes::
So yeah there's a part of me that really wants to see if I can manage to write and publish a few things. because it's not fair that there's clearly a audience for both types of stories, and not a whole lot of good reads out there. No really good ones - ones that you feel you have to compromise on anything. Like 'ok, the writing is way too purple for my tastes, and the the story is way underdeveloped, and too rushed, but where to fuck else am I going to read about elves, and centaurs doing it on a scifi water planet?' or 'well it's writing was so poor that it grossed me out, more than it turned me on, but where else am I going to get to read about an entire college football team having a huge champagne gay orgy in the locker room?'
But we'll have to see. I mean to be honest- this post right here is probably the most I've written at one time in God knows how long, so who the fuck knows if I'll actually manage it.
As a little side note. I totally have this little dark part of me that wants to pump out some rediculous shitty smut novel filled with crapy writing and porn just to see if it sells at all. But then I'm also afraid of this horrible thing of it you know actually doing well, and me being faced with a horribly reality where shitty porn sells better than well written porn. but then again I prob really wouldn't be all that upset if i could keep making a bit of cash selling easily banged out shitty stories either, so what am I worried about right?
